Each year, St. Ambrose University provides up to $2,000 to 10 students through the Faith Learning Justice Campus Ministry Scholarship. SAU awards this renewable scholarship to students who are active in church and community service. Explore the requirements and application process below.

Campus Ministry Scholarship details
The Faith Learning Justice Campus Ministry Scholarship is given to students who are active in church and community service. Alongside the tuition assistance, recipients join a cohort of Faith Learning Justice Scholars and meet monthly with a mentor from Campus Ministry.
Student eligibility and enrollment requirements:
- Acceptance and enrollment at St. Ambrose University
- Commitment to justice demonstrated through involvement in church or community service
- Willingness to meet monthly with Campus Ministry mentor, and participate in one service activity per semester and one Campus Ministry retreat per year.
- Willingness to join one of SAU’s Campus Ministry groups: Music Ministry, FCA, Ambrosians for Peace & Justice, Bible Study, Bees for Life, and more
- Scholarship is renewable each year for four years
Multiple students have the opportunity to receive the Campus Ministry Scholarship, provided they are committed to church or community service and able to join a cohort of Faith Learning Justice Scholars. Recipients are selected each year by Campus Ministry staff. Contact Campus Ministry to be considered for this scholarship.
The Campus Ministry Scholarship is disbursed following a straightforward process:
- Campus Ministry staff share a list of recipients with Financial Services.
- Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each term.
- Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.
- Funds are disbursed each semester throughout your undergraduate program.

To uphold the Campus Ministry Scholarship, recipients must meet these requirements:
- Maintain full-time undergraduate enrollment
- Meet monthly with mentor from Campus Ministry staff
- Participate in one service activity per semester, and one Campus Ministry retreat per year
- Maintain active involvement in an organization affiliated with Campus Ministry, i.e. Music Ministry, FCA, Ambrosians for Peace & Justice, Bible Study, and Bees for Life
These requirements ensure that Campus Ministry scholars have the support they need to strengthen their faith and grow as leaders in the campus community.
