What you’ll learn in your BA in Global Studies degree

Through an interdisciplinary curriculum drawing on political science, business, cultural studies, and communication, students learn to analyze and engage global issues from multiple perspectives.

A defining feature of the Global Studies program is its commitment to experiential learning. Students engage in applied research, community-based projects, internships, simulations, and global learning experiences that connect the classroom to the real world. 

  • Analyze the cultural, sociopolitical, and economic dimensions of major global issues
  • Describe diverse values and worldviews across cultures and nations
  • Communicate complex global issues while demonstrating intercultural competence
  • Develop and defend evidence-based, ethically grounded positions on global issues
  • Assess the application of academic knowledge to practical contexts through global learning experiences

  • You will complete 36 core curriculum credits, 30 global studies credits, and 54 elective credits.
