This continuing education course provides physical therapists with a comprehensive understanding of the long-term benefits of exercise across the lifespan. Participants will explore current research evidence demonstrating how regular physical activity impacts chronic disease prevention, functional mobility, cognitive health, and overall quality of life. The course examines exercise as both a therapeutic intervention and a preventive health strategy, emphasizing the physical therapist's unique role in promoting lifelong physical activity. Through evidence-based content and practical applications, participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to effectively counsel patients about exercise benefits and develop sustainable activity programs that extend well beyond the clinical setting.
