This course will provide an overview of utilizing evidence based physical therapy practice in the clinical environment. Critically appraising evidence about interventions and the integration of evidence with clinical expertise and patient values and beliefs will be explored in a series of clinical case studies.
Upon competition of this course, participants will be able to:
1.Enhance their critical appraisal skills and ability to evaluate evidence for quality and potential biases regarding interventions used in clinical practice.
2.Integrate the latest evidence-based research regarding interventions, diagnosis, prognosis, or issues of harm into clinical practice.
3.Translate high-quality evidence into their clinical practice to optimize patient outcomes by balancing their clinical expertise, the best available research, and individual patient needs, beliefs, and values.
Doors Open: 5:30 p.m. Capacity is limited to 100 seats. Once capacity is reached and/or registration is closed, walk-ins will not be accepted.
