Dr. Travis J. Eygabroad is an Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Sciences whose teaching and scholarship focus on cybersecurity, digital forensics, and experiential learning in computer science education. He teaches courses across computer science foundations, networking, cybersecurity, and computer and network forensics, with an emphasis on hands-on, lab-based instruction and real-world investigation.
Dr. Eygabroad’s research interests include anti-forensic techniques, practitioner training in digital investigations, cybersecurity education, and student outcomes for learners with disabilities in higher education. His work spans both technical and educational domains, including published research on anti-forensics and a doctoral dissertation examining early college preparation programs and academic and socio-emotional outcomes for students with disabilities.
Prior to entering higher education, Dr. Eygabroad worked in information technology and law enforcement, experiences that continue to inform his applied approach to teaching and research. He is a recipient of the Stoffel Fund for Excellence in Scientific Inquiry and is an active member of professional organizations including the Association for Computing Machinery, IEEE Computer Society, and FBI InfraGard.
