What is Scholars Day?
Scholars Day is a prestigious event hosted by St. Ambrose University, designed especially for admitted students to showcase their talents, compete for substantial scholarships, and get an immersive experience of the vibrant St. Ambrose campus.
Why Should Your Student Attend?
During Scholars Day, students have the chance to:
- Highlight their academic and extracurricular achievements
- Interact with faculty and fellow ambitious students
- Explore the campus, giving them a feel of college life at St. Ambrose
How Can Your Student Participate?
Keep an eye on your mail and email for an invitation that is sent to admitted students who meet the qualifications. Students must be admitted to St. Ambrose for the fall 2027 term. Registration will close either when the event is at capacity or by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026. For any questions about your student's eligibility, reach out to their admissions counselor or contact the Admissions Office.
Should parents attend Scholars Day as well?
Yes! We'll have programming at Scholars Day just for parents including panels with current students and university leadership. families will also have the special opportunity to celebrate their student with us at the Scholars Luncheon.
When Madelyn Reum ’29 received her invitation to St. Ambrose University’s Scholars Day, she knew she had to attend. “The people, the atmosphere, the campus, everything just felt right.”
A few weeks later, Reum received a call from SAU with life-changing news: she had been awarded a full-tuition scholarship. Now a double major in criminal justice and psychology, she encourages other invited students to attend Scholars Day: “Go! You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
